TOK is often considered to be the most important and difficult part of the IB Diploma, because it does not tell stories, write opinions, or analyze writing techniques, etc. Therefore, it is difficult to write a TOK paper with the five-paragraph essay structure that students are familiar with. While a normal paper is often made up of arguments and evidence, a TOK paper is made up of several questions.
